2007-04-16Fix permissions on test scriptsLibravatar Alex Riesen1-0/+0
Make every test executable. Remove exec-attribute from included shell files, they can't used standalone anyway. Signed-off-by: Alex Riesen <raa.lkml@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <junkio@cox.net>
2007-03-04Get rid of the dependency to GNU diff in the testsLibravatar Johannes Schindelin1-4/+4
Now that "git diff" handles stdin and relative paths outside the working tree correctly, we can convert all instances of "diff -u" to "git diff". This commit is really the result of $ perl -pi.bak -e 's/diff -u/git diff/' $(git grep -l "diff -u" t/) Signed-off-by: Johannes Schindelin <johannes.schindelin@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <junkio@cox.net> (cherry picked from commit c699a40d68215c7e44a5b26117a35c8a56fbd387)
2007-01-15Replace "echo -n" with printf in shell scripts.Libravatar Jason Riedy1-1/+1
Not all echos know -n. This was causing a test failure in t5401-update-hooks.sh, but not t3800-mktag.sh for some reason. Signed-off-by: Jason Riedy <ejr@cs.berkeley.edu> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <junkio@cox.net>
2006-12-28xdl_merge(): fix a segmentation fault when refining conflictsLibravatar Johannes Schindelin1-0/+22
The function xdl_refine_conflicts() tries to break down huge conflicts by doing a diff on the conflicting regions. However, this does not make sense when one side is empty. Worse, when one side is not only empty, but after EOF, the code accessed unmapped memory. Noticed by Luben Tuikov, Shawn Pearce and Alexandre Julliard, the latter providing a test case. 2006-12-06Add builtin merge-file, a minimal replacement for RCS mergeLibravatar Johannes Schindelin1-0/+116
merge-file has the same syntax as RCS merge, but supports only the "-L" option. For good measure, a test is added, which is quite minimal, though. [jc: further fix for compliation errors included.] Signed-off-by: Johannes Schindelin <Johannes.Schindelin@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <junkio@cox.net>
