2016-03-16clone tests: rename t57* => t56*Libravatar Stefan Beller1-53/+0
When trying to find a good spot for testing clone with submodules, I got confused where to add a new test file. There are both tests in t560* as well as t57* both testing the clone command. t/README claims the second digit is to indicate the command, which is inconsistent to the current naming structure. Rename all t57* tests to be in t56* to follow the pattern of the digits as laid out in t/README. It would have been less work to rename t56* => t57* because there are less files, but the tests in t56* look more basic and I assumed the higher the last digits the more complicated niche details are tested, so with the patch now it looks more in order to me. 2014-11-13t5705: the file:// URL should be absoluteLibravatar Torsten Bögershausen1-1/+1
The test misused a URL "file://." to mean "relative to here", which we no longer accept. In a file:// URL, typically there is no host, and RFC1738 says that file:///<path> should be used. Update t5705 to use a working URL. Reported-by: Michael Blume <blume.mike@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Torsten Bögershausen <tboegi@web.de> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <gitster@pobox.com>
2010-08-18t/t5705-clone-2gb: change from skip_all=* to prereq skipLibravatar Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason1-7/+9
Change this test to skip test with test prerequisites, and to do setup work in tests. This improves the skipped statistics on platforms where the test isn't run. Signed-off-by: Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason <avarab@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <gitster@pobox.com>
2010-06-25tests: Skip tests in a way that makes sense under TAPLibravatar Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason1-1/+1
SKIP messages are now part of the TAP plan. A TAP harness now knows why a particular test was skipped and can report that information. The non-TAP harness built into Git's test-lib did nothing special with these messages, and is unaffected by these changes. 2010-05-20Fix checkout of large files to network shares on Windows XPLibravatar René Scharfe1-3/+9
Bigger writes to network drives on Windows XP fail. Cap them at 31MB to allow them to succeed. Callers need to be prepared for write() calls that do less work than requested anyway. On local drives, write() calls are translated to WriteFile() calls with a cap of 64KB on Windows XP and 256KB on Vista. Thus a cap of 31MB won't affect the number of WriteFile() calls which do the actual work. There's still room for some other version of Windows to use a chunk size of 1MB without increasing the number of system calls. 2010-02-01fast-import: Stream very large blobs directly to packLibravatar Shawn O. Pearce1-1/+1
If a blob is larger than the configured big-file-threshold, instead of reading it into a single buffer obtained from malloc, stream it onto the end of the current pack file. Streaming the larger objects into the pack avoids the 4+ GiB memory footprint that occurs when fast-import is processing 2+ GiB blobs. Signed-off-by: Shawn O. 2009-03-07Add an (optional, since expensive) test for >2gb clonesLibravatar Johannes Schindelin1-0/+45
Define GIT_TEST_CLONE_2GB=t if you want the test not to be skipped. The test works by constructing a repository larger than 2gb, and then cloning it. The repository is forced larger than 2gb by setting compression and delta depth to zero, and then adding just enough unique objects of a given size. The objects consist of a running decimal number in ASCII, padded by spaces. Should that break in the future, e.g. when pack v4 becomes default, there is a commented-out call to test-genrandom which can be substituted, but that uses more cycles than the current method.
