2005-08-24[PATCH] Retire git-parse-remote.Libravatar Junio C Hamano1-2/+2
Update git-pull to match updated git-fetch and allow pull to fetch from multiple remote references. There is no support for resolving more than two heads, which will be done with "git octopus". Update "git ls-remote" to use git-parse-remote-script. Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <junkio@cox.net>
2005-08-09ls-remote: drop storing operation and add documentation.Libravatar Junio C Hamano1-27/+23
The store operation was never useful because we needed to fetch the objects needed to complete the reference. Remove it. The fetch command fetch multiple references shortly to replace the lost "store" functionality in more a generic way. Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <junkio@cox.net>
2005-08-08[PATCH] Make curl fail on server errorLibravatar Catalin Marinas1-1/+1
Some http servers return an HTML error page and git reads it as normal data. Adding -f option makes curl fail silently. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <junkio@cox.net>
2005-07-23[PATCH] git-ls-remote: show and optionally store remote refs.Libravatar Junio C Hamano1-0/+104
Retrieve and list the remote refs from git, http, and rsync repositories, and optionally stores the retrieved refs in the local repository under the same name. To access a git URL, git-peek-remote command is used. An http URL needs to have an up-to-date info/refs file for discovery, which will be introduced by a later update-server-info patch.
