the docs as well.

convert less-trivial versions of "write_in_full() != len"
avoid "write_in_full(fd, buf, len) != len" pattern
get-tar-commit-id: check write_in_full() return against 0
config: avoid "write_in_full(fd, buf, len) < len" pattern

The checkpoint command "git fast-import" did not flush updates to

In the "--format=..." option of the "git for-each-ref" command (and
its friends, i.e. the listing mode of "git branch/tag"), "%(atom:)"

them as if the colon and an empty string that follows it were not
there.
